WindowsUpdate_0000066A Error

I'm still having problems installing the MS .NET Framework, Version 1.1
Service Pack 1. I have already done the Windows Install Cleanup Tool which
cleared my first error, but now I get this one, Windows Update 66A Error.
Anybody else having this issue? Any answers out there?

I still can't uninstall 1.1. I am able to uninstall everything else, but not
1.1. I've even tried the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility; it no longer
shows up in it, but it's still stuck in my Control Panel Install/Uninstall
tool.

I am having this same problem. Was it ever resolved? I can't find any other
links about it.
