I keep getting the Error Code 8BB when I try to install my updates for Office
2007 on my Vista laptop? I could not find any reference to this error
anywhere, and I tried all the suggestions for all the other codes listed in
the windows help file.

The Troubleshooting continues, but with no solutions as of yet. I have
decided to paste the WARNING lines from the WindowsUpdate.Log to see if
anyone has any solutions for that.

Well, that solution did not work. So, I tried to uninstall Office 2007 and
reinstall it, and got this error when I tried to uninstall Office.

Microsoft Office Professional 2007 uninstall did not complete successfully.

Error 2235. An internal error has occurred. ( MaxSize SELECT
'FileName','MinVersion','MaxVersion','MinSize','Ma xSize','MinDate','MaxDate','Languages' FROM 'Signature' WHERE 'Signature' =? )

Any thoughts on this one?

Bob

Nevertheless it would probably help to at least state your observations
from it. E.g., does repairing the OSE create a diagnostic log?
If so, there might be more clues in there. Etc.

Heh. That's the same as 0x8BB...

<cmd_output>
F:\>net helpmsg 2235

This user is not cached in user accounts database session cache.

EXPLANATION

This message should occur only on a down-level computer. Any action to correct the problem should be performed on that computer.
A software error occurred.

ACTION

Contact technical support.
</cmd_output>

Was the product originally installed by another user?
Perhaps it should be uninstalled by the same user?

Oh. *Where* was it originally installed?

Deja vu! ; )

The KB article mentioned is for a different version of Office.
Hopefully it is sufficiently compatible with your version to be useful.

Hmm... at least the registry key is still used by it... ; }

Good luck
