WindowsUpdate_80244019 Error :( Cant update Windows Vista HomePremium SP1, Norton 360

Hello,

I am having this below mentioned update error and I have already tried
Onecare scan and Manual scan as well but nothing is detecting
anything. Please help me as I am not able to install anything on the
system now and cannot access certain parts of website such as hotmail.

WindowsUpdate_80244019 Error Cant update.

Did you install Norton 306 before or after this problem started?

There is a very good chance that you are seeing the affects of a hijackware
infection.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

NB: Run the FULL scan, not the QUICK scan!

2. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested
logs in an appropriate forum, not here.
