Ever since 2-14-06 with release of Windows Defender, me and several thousands
of us simple web surfers are having trouble with our Microsoft Update
page;I'm getting error 0x800A0046, and I can't resovle it with their
tag-a-long fix memo.Ohter folks are getting different error codes. And of
course after getting excited withdownloading the new Windows Defender2-14-06,
I can't update those definitions either. I'm so fed up with Microsoft's
sorryful comedy of errors here;with billions$$$ they can't release a new
product without some sort of problem now or later needing a fix/patch. I
wasn't too impressed with the new Defender with the "can't update
error=0x80070005" and the inability to erase tracks like the former beta 1.5.
According to PCMagazine, article -Windows Defender-review by Neil J.
Rubenking; this beta 2 performed marginally worse than the previous beta1.5
in some area's of anti-spyware protection. 2-16-06 I removed/erased my
Windows Defender. God help us.
