I had the almost identical problem, finally got the computer to load in safe
mode, rolled it back to a point just before the installation and it worked
fine, so I installed each of the downloaded upgrades seperately and restarted
it after each installation. They all worked fine except KB912812 which made
the computer stop loading again; i started it in safe mode and rolled it back
to just before that installation and it worked fine. Thinking that the
download was corrupted I deleted the download and tried to re-download it
from the upgrade site. The upgrade site insists that it's been downloaded and
ready for installation , trying to install it results in failure, the
microsoft help site is unresponsive ( just promises to contact within 24 hrs
but not doing it) and I'm unable to get KB912812 high risk security update.
