Windowx XP SP2 - Window Update Error 0x80244021

Hi,
New SP" for XP generate message:

[Error number: 0x80244021]
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested
page.

Hi

0x80244021 means:
Http status 502 - error response received from gateway

I would think you have some connection problem on the way to WU.

A search for this error comes up with zilch, so I am afraid I
can't help you more.

See if windowsupdate.log gives you more information...

Got the same problem. It appears that if I bypass the ISA firewall, that
there is no error. Registering MSXML3.dll did not help in my case.

Follow-up:
After bypassing the firewall and getting the updates, now the error is
different (I did not write it down) The new error refers to some type of
blocking happening at the FW. I am looking at the FW config now.

New error is 0x80072F78, KB836985 offers some advice.
