Windwos Update KB898461

Each time I am asked to install this it starts and then is cancelled. Does
anyone else have this problems with XP.

Hi,

Herr_Mord found that renaming c:\windows\system32\spupdsvc.exe
solved the KB898461 install problem for him:

I seem to have the same problem. The update is allready downloaded but it
seems not to be installable. I'm sorry that i don't have an answer yet why
this problem occurs. Maybe someone else did solve this problem? Please let us
know !

Whenever I attempt to download this update (and Windows Genuine Advantage
Validation Tool (KB892130) ) the download fails ?
I have tried a number of times with the same result?
On my History page, clicking the ? results in:
Installation Failure

Error Code: 0x80200010
Try to install the update again, or request help from one of the following
resources.
