Hi,
I have the same problem Winks are grayed out, and there seems to be no way
to get them going. I am able to go into Kiwee and play the winks before
downloading, i.e. Flash is working properly.
This seems to be a bug. I tried your solution of using the alt key and
making sure formatting was enabled, but the error does not seem to be there.
I suggest this be explored carefully. I travel a lot throughout the globe,
and use messenger to communicate with my family at home. The only advantage
of Windows Live over Skype for me are the winks - they are a fun way to liven
up a conversation over long distances. However, with that feature gone, it
would seem unnecessary for me to have two instant messenger services
installed on my machine, especially since all of my professional contacts
reside on Skype.
I.e. Please, please fix this problem....
