Hi,
What were you doing just prior to this happening?
From Task Manager, you might try this: On the processes tab, locate
explorer.exe. Select it and then click on 'end process'. Go to the
applications tab, click "new task" and enter explorer.exe to restart the
shell.
Failing that, from the new task prompt, run services.msc. Locate the Desktop
Session Manager and restart the service.
