Winows2K update fails Error 0x8007000B: An attempt was made to loa

Here are a few lines from 2 Windows Update logs on 2 separate computers. Not
sure why the update fails. There is no spyware or viruses on either machine.

I am sorry you are hitting this. Would you mind trying to install that one
update (KB867282) directly and see if it works for you? Here's the link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

1. Click the link above
2. Click the "Download" button
3. Save the file to a memorable directory, or just uncheck the checkbox
during download that says Close when download complete.
4. When download is complete, launch the update.
