Hi

Is it possable to get winpe to ask a user to login to a domain i.e.
authenticate user against a domain

eg PE boots up and logon box appears to authenticate them against a domain?

Thanks

Robin

No, WinPE does not have this functionality.

As in I can't get into winpe to use it until I enter a password? By design it's an offline system, so there's no need to password protect it.

But you can absolutely get winpe to prompt for network authentication, just not the traditional way.
I have my Ghost connected to the network, so when I map a drive it prompts for LDAP authentication. I also have my internet browser configured to prompt for LDAP authentication.

If you mean you want to store a local password and make winpe prompt before giving you the ability to use the system, you have to find a program or create one then configure it to launch in the winpeshl.ini file.
