WINTARGET standalone - san box

Kindly forward to relevant forum if this question is not here.

I've an old fiber san box working on some machines (hba cards attached). I
bought some new server hardware and realised the old hba cards are
incompatible with new server hardware.

I m thinking of making one of the server to act as a SAN HARDDISK. I've used
wintarget before, unfortunately microsoft bought it and put it under Windows
Storage server r2.

Is there a way to get wintarget ?

Or any equivalent of wintarget ?

The only way to get wintarget now is to purchase a Windows Storage Server
O/S.

There are alternative solutions, and the one I would typically recommend
would be Starwind. See the following for more details:
