The information that SP2 is "ready to install" is actually contained in the
Datastore.edb database. If you attempt to install it now, it'll probably fail
since you've deleted the installation files.
Question: WHY have you not installed Service Pack 2?
As for deleting disk space, you'll probably succeed more effectively at
running the Disk Cleanup Wizard and clearing out the Internet Explorer cache,
as well as the Temporary Folders.
The DCW is in Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup
