WinXP Home SP2 - Automatic Updates

I have turned on Automatic Downloads for Critical Updates in WinXP Home. I
was attempting to download and install an update and my LAN connection
failed. Since that time, my Laptop prompts me that updates have been
downloaded and are available for installation, but when I attempt to install,
there is nothing there. I have not been able to locate a fix for this issue.
The darned yellow exclamation point in the system tray is driving me nuts...
Can anyone help?

Thanx!!!!

Similar question to Robert's...... I have elected not to install SP2,
however, it is already d/l'd via automatic updates, and I get the "Updates
Ready to Install" message each time computer is booted. How can I delete or
remove the SP2 update - before installation ? Where is the file saved after
d/l'g, and is there a specific way recommended to remove the update from it's
"stored" location.

Thanks,
Ron

If you are using AU you can use its "decline the update" feature
to delete the download and block it as long as you want.

Use the AU Help for more information.
E.g. Run... control wuaucpl.cpl
Tab to "How does Automatic Updates work?" and press Enter.
In the resulting help window use the Contents tab's How To... item
and doubleclick on:
Stop Windows from notifying you about updates that you have already decided not to download or install (hide updates)
