Hi,
Recently i tried installing the intel Chipset Drivers latest version onmy
Asus p4p800 E Deluxe.
It gave a BSOD at 10%.
when i restared XP would no boot and i could not even get to safe mode.
I had to format and reinstall.
The first thing i did, after the reinstall was again redownload the correct
drivers and tried installing but this time it just shut down and again while
restarting said the PCI.sys file was corrupt and would not boot.
AGAIN! i formatted and reinstalled ...
This time i started insafe mode with the ADMINISTRATOR account..
Earlier times i was using the administrator account tht is aske to be
created when xp completes its install.
In SAFE Mode with the ADMIN account, the drivers installed perfectly without
any problems and my machine restarted fine...
what if i try the update in SAFE Mode with the ADMIN account?
secondly, what th diff between the actual ADMINISTRATOR account and the
admin account that is created during XP install.
Thanks..
