I have download the windows xp serivce pack3 twice now. both time it
downloads ok but when it restarts mt computer it goes to the screen that my
computer was shut down for an error, or power failure . it gives me the
option to restart my computer in normal mode, safe mode, safe networking
mode, or restore to last known good configuration. i have tried all 4. the
first 3 it goes on like it is starting then takes me directly back to the
same page asking which mode to start in. the only one i can get to work is
restoring back to last known good configuration befor the service pack was
loaded . has anyone else had this same issue, or know how i can fix this?
thanks for the help !!!

How to troubleshoot an unsuccessful installation of WinXP SP3
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950718

WinXP SP3 - Read all prerequisites for a successful installation
http://msmvps.com/blogs/harrywaldron...tallation.aspx

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and
e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/def...spx?gprid=1173 | select "Windows
XP" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3"
