winxp update

I have downloaded the update for windows installer 3.1.I see that there are
now 5 failed updates pertaining to this update of a few days ago.
error code listed for this is 0x0070020.I do not know how to correct this in
my list of updates.please help advise!Thank you.

You receive a "0x80070020 The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another
process" error message when you try to download an update from Windows Update or from Microsoft
