I submitted this question the other week. Posting has disappeared but not
the problem.

I installed SP2 for WinXP Home and then PC would NOT boot up. I had to
restore back to previous point. I've tried install twice (once from
downloaded version of SP2 and once from CD). Both times produce same results
(No Boot!).

The other day someone responded with something like "install shipset for
...." I can't remember, but it didn't make any sense ("shipset"???). There
wasn't any detail. Somewhere along the line, the main message thread was
deleted and I've still got the problem...

Any one out there got any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim H.

Your computer stops responding when you restart to complete the installation of
Windows XP Service Pack 2
