I have my recovery DVD's , Where do I go to wipe out and start over. Also
will the disc start up on it's own or will I have to start it, if so what
file do I look for...Wish I were a computer geek so I wouldn't have to ask
these questions.....
Thanks.

Please read the User's Guide that came with your
Toshiba computer for instructions.

Depending on the machine, usually you can boot from the recovery CD/DVD and
it will ask if yoiu want to do a system recovery.
Some manufacturers give you the option of a repair or a 'destructive'
(meaning a format) recovery.
Other manufacturer's give you the option at boot to boot to windows OR do a
system recovery (starting from the recovery partitioin) then ask for the
recovery disks.

What does your manual say? It is the best place to start.

Hi,

Check your system documentation, as the method varies by manufacturer. In
general, most are designed for you to the boot the system from the disk and
start the procedure from there.

Just curious... why do you need to start over?

That said, most recovery DVD's only require that you insert the DVD in the
drive and restart the system. It should boot to the DVD and offer a few
options, one of which, I can only assume, would be to reinstall the OS and
all the attendant crapware. As others have responded, it can't hurt to read
the documentation that came with your system.

Good luck,

Lang
