i had a belkin wireless adapter and it worked fine until i recently updated
with the october 2009 microsoft updates. after i upgraded the october
updates, however, my wireless adapter would connect to my wireless network
but it would not connect to the internet. i thought the belkin was the
problem. so i bought a linksys wireless adapter.

i'm now having the same problems with the linksys wireless adapter. the
linksys can connect to my wireless network but it can't connect to the
internet.

i have heard from the linksys and belkins customer service reps that there
is an incompatibility issue with service pack 3. how can i fix this problem?
thanks.

more likely it is a wireless driver issue. go into device manager
and roll back the driver. OR install the latest drivers for your
particular wireless card(s) from the manufacturers website. it would
help to know the model #'s and what model # wireless router.

please post all of this info in a new thread under one of the
networking newsgroups.
