1. Make sure you've unchecked the option to "allow Windows to turn off
this device when not in use". You will find this option on the power
management tab for your wireless adapter in Device Manager.
2. Make sure you have the latest version of the drivers for your
wireless adapter. If the adapter is built into a laptop, you will get
the drivers from the laptop mftr. If the device is a separate component,
you will get the drivers from the component mftr.
