Hi Che'usa,
To fix the mouse issue, you can uncheck the "Allow this device to wake
the computer" in the "Power Management" tab in Device Manger for the
device's properties. See "STEP FIVE" in this tutorial for how. You will
have to use the keyboard to wake the computer from sleep mode and screen
saver.

Not sure why it will not let you add to Favorites. Have you tried
turning off Parental Controls to see if it will let you afterwards? If
it still will not, then you have some other problem.
