Hi, I wonder if anyone can help, my son bought me as a gift a wireles
mouse from Boots (the chemist) here in the uk, it did not come with an
install cd and I can seem to find a driver for it on the web, the onl
names I have on the mouse are Boots? (go figure) and C E,plus the stoc
number for Boots, can anyone help? I think I will have to take the thin
back as it probably wont install onto vista but I thought I would as
just in case as my son is pestering me to put it on the laptop, an
truth is I didn't want to send it back as gifts from him are usuall
vases!!! :-) anyway thanks for reading this either way,Linz

You need to find out how the mouse works. The mouse I got as a gift works
with Vista, and it had no driver. I just plugged the USB antenna for the
mouse in the computer, and pushed the reception pin button on the antenna
and on the mouse to sync on the channel, and a wireless mousing we shall go.

You won't need a driver. Just plug the base station thingy in to the PC,
press the "connect" buttons (if there are any), and it'll work.

Same for me, for my wireless mice, I've used several,
you press a link button on the base USB unit, and a
button on the mouse, then it works, no driver needed.
Possible causes of problems
Range - plugging the dongle into the back of the
case, where it is shielded by the cases metalwork,
is not a good idea, use a USB extension to put
the receiver nearer the mouse.
Low battery power, particularly with the 2 x AAA
battery versions.
Rechargeables with a USB cradle, these can suffer
from insufficient charge. It only charges when the
PC is on, but then you are using the PC and the
mouse is out of its cradle and not charging.
Best solution I've found is a 2 x AA mouse,
2500mAh NiMH batteries, and fitting a
power cube to deliver 10mA charging current,
even when the PC is off.

Not completely true Steve. I had to download a driver from microsoft in
order to use full functionality on my mouse. Mapping the buttons, etc.
BTW, I mapped my center button to activate Flip. Cool.
