wireless-n usb adapter

bought a new computer, gateway. has vista 64. old network adapter wont work.
anybody know what kinda card or adapter will work and get me on the internet/
my other desktop has cable modem with netgear rangemax next, wireless-n
router.
sorry not very computer savy.
just want to know what i should buy that i could get the new computer on the
internet. netgear customer service already had me buy a adapter that turned
out not to be vista 64 campatible.
thx for any help
