Wireless network

Hi
This is maybe off topic but here goes---- I upgraded from bt 1.5 hub to a
black 2.0 hub and since then have been unable to connect my laptop to the
internet. It will connect to local only unless I put the ethernet cable in
then it will connect to the internet. I know its only a setting or a
conflict as the other pc's in the house connect ok.
Can anyone throw a light on this please as its really annoying and I have
been trying for days now to try to sort this out.
I should say the hub has been set to Wep security and the channel changed
from auto to manual 6 etc.

You could set the ssid on if off in router and see if this does the trick
for you.Once its finds it if that is the case,reboot.Not sure why this works
but has worked for myself for quite a few clients.You can always turn off
the ssid after this to see if you can access Internet once you have done
this.
