wireless networking probs....

ever since i downloaded service pack 2 to my xp...my wireless wont
connect...i even called the manufactureof my wireless usb..and, they said it
was a problem with windows...it used to conect fairly decenty before the
service pack 2 download...is there a windows up date for this? "acess point
network " keeps coming up...and, windows won't let us make a change to the
wireless networks to connect to...if this sounds like something you can help
me with...plz get back to me...asap..thnks
