At one point, many months ago I selected an update & downloaded for a Lucent
Win Modem that for some reason would not install properly. I've since
decided that I don't need or want the download but I continue to receive a
notice that it's ready to install when I turn on automatic updates. It still
will not install after many attempts.

Can anyone tell me where updates that are downloaded & ready for install are
filed in (XP Home) so that I can remove it?
