OMG, what kind of scrap had Microsoft released with Windows Live Mail
2011.

If I answer to a Newsgrouppost, there are no quoting character > in the
answer. I must manually enter the character in every line... So it's
really unusable... This bug also appeared in the Beta.

Why there nobody fix it???
Is Microsoft really so stupid and release so much sh*t regarding Usenet?
Never they release a good newsreader version from the beginning but
windows live mail 2011 is really the biggest crap

MS NNTP clients have always sucked, and probably always will suck. MS has
even bailed on providing NNTP service. I don't think that MS really cares.
Get a proper NNTP client from some other software publisher.

If only there was a proper (free) nntp client... IMO, TBird is pathetic, and
the others are lacking one way or another. I reverted to WLM v14.

For me also the lack of '>' indenting for quoted text was the final straw.
I'm about to try Free Agent 6.0 and 40tude Dialog as NNTP newsreaders.
I won't go back to WLM v14 because its mail mode is inferior to v15.

I'm headed back to free agent... if I can get it to run on Vista... but,
you'll need version 3.30.846, as that is the last "free" release. I didn't
know of 40tude... looks interesting. Thanks!

When you say v14's mail mode is 'inferior'... what do you mean by that?

I've been using 40tude Dialog for a long time. I believe it will even let
you continue top posting, if that is your preference.

I'll be sure to give it a try since Agent and Vista are giving me fits.

Many users who have upgraded to Windows 7 no longer have
access to a Vista computer.

Also, future Windows Updates are likely to render Windows Mail
on Windows 7 inoperable, as has already happened once.
Although us geeks can usually discover a workaround, it is a
real hassle for the average user.

Copy Windows Mail from your old PC and install it on your new one. WLM is
crapola. The worst yet. :þ

No it is not a bug. Microsoft is just setting a new standards for
newsgroups which it has decided not to support!!
