WLM 2009 (Build 14.0.8050.12020

Seems I am not alone in the problem of being unable to get the Audio and
Video set up controls. Hopefully microsoft will very shortly resolve this
problem and send out a FIX pdq please.

It is just that you can't connect to your contacts or the wizard doesn't come up, or..?

Hi! Johnathan
After installing the 2009 version - I am unable to action the Audio and
Video setup control. Message says 'unable to run audio and video setup'. My
OS is Vista 32 bit Home premium. All contact are displayed okay and no
problem in this regard.
Will await microsoft actions to resolve - any idea as to when this might
take place?

I have the exact problem, XP Professional SP3, IBM thinkpad R52, 2008 version
worked fine, none of the 2009 so far works. MS Lifecam works fine with Yahoo
& AIM.

Hi I have the same problem the 2009 version of live messenger cannot
configure the audio and video, everything works fine after reinstalling
version 8.5, didi several tries, reinstalling WLM 2009 but it does not work
at all for video and audio, I can receive webcam form a contact, but cannot
send audio or video, if I try to make a videocall I get an error message like
messenger is not available, but everything else works fine emoticons chat
etc...hope microsoft will fix this problem soon, looks like a lot of people
have it

Can I join in this plea for a fix .I have a Lenovo 300.200 and XP 3. The
unhelpful screen note that we cannot configure for audio or video has caused
much searching of programmes on the laptop , to no avail. IS THERE A CURE OR
CAN i UNINSTAL AND THEN INSTAL 8.1.

love to help you out but, I have the same problem. even worse is its a
creative and ive got windows 7 beta loaded and the driver doesnt work on it,
same problem with wlm 2009 in vista and driver doesnt work on windows 7

Samantha. I dont know about windows 7 , but I went into Add/Remove prog and
removed about 4 rpogs with "windows live"in the title and then did a search
for Windows live 8.5 and eventually downloaded and installed that prog. You
have to resist the enentuall screen message that may come up inviting you to
upgrade to the latest version as this will download that vesion 14. (2009)
..In my innosence I pressed the button and got version 14***** and had to get
rid of that and reinstal version 8.5. The Lenovo 3000.n200 is happy with
this.Hope this helps

Hi guys,
i was able to install almost everything, but not even through the update!
each program on its own
but i have a problem updating Photo Gallery!!
it is not updating at all, it just cause errors
and i don't even able to install it by itself!!

My fix for this was to uninstall McAfee 'Firewall' -- seems to be the entire
problem, using a different firewall product WLM9 video/audio works fine.
re-installed McAfee firewall - broke WLM9 - uninstalled - works fine. Hope
this helps.
