I am having the same exact problem as below. I can't see any of my contacts
and I can't add any. I import my contacts and when I try to go in and move
them to different categories, it tells me they are a non-instant messenger
contact. If I sign in on another machine everything is there. If I go to
live.com and sign on there all my contacts are there. I have tried all the
various cache clean up fixes and have probably reinstall messenger 5 times
today. Why would Microsoft force an update if they knew these were issues
or
didn't have a fix that worked.
