WLM 8.1 - How to force to rescan audio devices?

I recently installed the actual realtek drivers for my onboard audio 889.
This allowed me to use both my rear and front header audio separately.
However, WLM 8.1 Audio & Video setup screen #2 only see's three out of four
audio devices on my system (the front panel headphone output is the one
missing!). However, this audio output is fully visible in my Windows Vista
"Playback Devices" window.

Here is a screen shot of the WLM 8.1 Audio & Video settings screen #2
(notice, no "headphone ..." audio device)

Here you can all see, the Windows Vista Playback Devices screen, clearly
showing the presence of the device:

Here you can see Device Manager, showing no broken or malfunctioning devices:

So what do I need to do to make WLM 8.1 see that that device is there. I
assume it just scanned devices sometime in the past and needs a prodding.
Otherwise, we've got a legitimate bug (well, that is the case either way,
this shouldn't be a possible scenerio for end users to encounter).
