I have Windows XP SP2. I just installed Windows Live Messenger 8.1 -
previously l had msn 7.5. The installation seemed to be ok. When I launch WLM
8.1 it loads correctly. However, when I click on a name to send a message, it
loads the "send message window" and it also opens the options tab. This last
one does not get fully displayed because the error window shows up and closes
WLM. The error window is the one asking if an error report can be submitted
to microsoft and does not provide me with any error number. I have even asked
one of my contacts to send me a message. When I receive the message WLM
crashes exactly as I explained above.
I also tried to delete all my contacts and manually setting them up again.
Still I have the same problems.
Any idea how I can fix this?
