WLM 9 / Live Today Window / can't change the location

Hi,

I've just installed WLM 9 Beta.
I noticed that the weather and the location are not correct.
Any idea how to change that?

Greetings Ben,

In some locales you can actually edit the location directly in the Today window with an Edit
City link, although I'm sure you would've seen that option if it were available.

But, the "locale" that I'm mentioning here is determined in your address information in your
Live ID profile, which you can edit here:
https://account.live.com/EditProf.aspx

Hi Jonathan,

I do appreciate your replying to my post.

I don't have the option "Edit City" in the Today Window.

Moreover, it is quite weird as in my ID profile, the address mentioned is
Brussels and I've got the local weather of Paris...

Is it maybe due to the fact that WLM 9 is a beta version?

Hi Ben,

This sounded weird to me, so I did some more testing by setting my own account to Brussels.
It showed me the today page in Dutch but still showed Toronto. After that shut down
Messenger, cleared my Internet Explorer cookies, started up Messenger and magically the city
changed to Brussels.

As such, try clearing your IE cookies and see what kind of results you get.

In my ID profile, Brussels is mentioned, but it doesn't show up in the Live
Today Page.
Any idea to troubleshoot this issue?

Perhaps it's based on IP too for some reason? I'm afraid I have no way of testing that here
