in msn 7.0 in tools/webcam settings I could select the camera I wanted from a drop down list in the lower left hand corner. However
in windows live messenger the same camera selection is greyed out. Is this a bug?

Greetings,

Nope. The selection has now moved to the Audio and Video Setup Wizard. You can get it by
clicking the Tools menu (or pressing Alt-T if the menu is hidden), and clicking Audio and
Video Setup. Then go through the wizard to select the camera you desire.

that seems like a step backwards. why such a change?
seems silly to have to launch and go through the audio and video wizard just to change cameras.

Hi,

The dropdown box was originally there because that's where the device selection on Windows
2000/9x was. I guess it's just been forgotten.
