WLM - Contact Display Picture Pane

Hi. Quick question. Is there any general cause for the Contact Display
Picture pane to open by itself, seemingly at random, even though the option
to 'show display pictures from others' is unchecked? This seems to only
happen with one contact. Sometimes it will go a while without popping the
panel, and then sometimes it will do it three or four times in a row (at
random intervals in the span of a minute). It's definitely annoying because
it resizes my window, but it has my curiosity's attention moreso. Any clues?

It's been happening every since I added this particular contact. If that is
the case, could it be something on that contact's side envoking the side
panel? That doesn't seem... likely, though I have seen stranger things.

Hi,

Actually I was thinking perhaps something got held down on the keyboard and was bringing it
up by being a hotkey.

I can't think of anything in particular that should be bringing it up if it's been closed.

This sounds crazy, but have you tried simply removing them from your list and readding?

Hey, you know what? I think I fixed it. You know that 'star' by their name
indicating that they have updated their Contact Card or profile? Well...
after removing the alert, this 'haunted side panel' issue seems to have been
remedied. Strange still, though, that it would have an affect on the side
panel. Hmm.

And no, removing and readding didn't sound crazy at all. I kinda didn't want
to solve this issue that way until I figured out what was causing it in the
first place.
