WLM contact list issues

Hello,

I have been using WLM since it's beta and was quite happy with it, up until
some 2 months ago... I started observing really weird contact list
behaviour. Since then I have exchanged around 15 emails with messenger live
support but i feel we are going around in circles...

The sympthoms I experience:
- cannot change displayname (always reverts to my sign in email address)
- cannot change personal message (always stays empty)
- display picture randomized on every sign-in
- contacts that are online (and have me on their contact list) appear to be
offline (i also appear for them as offline)
- in conversations in front of my text i see: "Q says:"
- sometimes contacts completely disappear from my contact list and I also
disappear from theirs
- my other account also started to produce the same sympthoms...

A short list what I have already tried following the suggestions of support:
- remove reinstall WLM - no effect
- remove, clean, reinstall WLM - no effect
- remove listcache.dat - no effect
- try on different computer - same issues
- i rebuilt a new computer, clean XP SP2 fully patched, WLM installed, same
problems
- remove all contacts and re-import them - solved the contacts appearing
offline problem for a while but now they started disappearing again

I searched the net but only encountered other puzzled users with the same
problems... To me it seems that there's some issue with the account, not the
installation itself, but support is really not interactive and going around
in circles (they suggested the same thing already 3 times).

Does anybody have some idea what I could do?

I have EXACTLY the same problem !!!
please leave a message here if you have a solution ! i think it's a server
side problem
