Vista SP1, HP laptop with built in cam using Cyberlink youcam....
cam works fine on it's own, WLM works ok, but trying to start cam (whether
cam already running or not) brings up audio and video settings, when I get to
select the cam WLM immediately closes, no solutions available.
Driving me nuts !!!!!

Greetings,

Unfortunately most of these problems are caused by the webcam drivers. You might want to
head over to HP's site and see if there are any new ones for this particular camera.

Thanks J. K.
All drivers are up to date, might just invest in a 'proper' webcam - don't
really like ones built into the lid....

Hi,

That's too bad, it's always nice to have stuff like that integrated.

I don't think it's the drivers fault. I've got Vista SP1 and Creative Live!
webcam nad I'm experiencing same problem. I even tried to run the program in
XP SP2 mode - it's the same. I've been trying to find a solution in other
websites, and there is so many people complaining about it, even if they use
different webcams. It was working fine, the proble just appeared few days,
maybe couple of weeks ago (maybe it's Microsoft's updates fault???)
