Greetings,

What two cameras have you tried? Are they both from the same manufacturer?

If so, you may have found a nasty bug.

I tried a Philips usb 610NC camera, and also a built in camera from an acer
7003 laptop - its a bison camera, I also tried bison v5 drivers, and v6 but
nothing.

I have formatted my laptop 3 times in the last week, once to XP Pro SP2, and
twice back to XP Media SP2, and everything works except any webcam i connect
fails with WLM, i've even unistalled WLM8.5 and reinstalled 8.1.0178.00 but
that didnt help, because 8.5 had already been installed...
