I decided to try and see what the issue is with logging in by running
Proxomitron to trace the login.
The issue seems to be here:
SSL Pass-Thru: CONNECT
https://login.live.com:443/
which freezes every time (I have the same problem when trying to log on to
my MSDN account at MS).
Interestingly I can sign on to Windows Live if I go directly to that
address in a browser but not when WLM calls it.
While that seems to be the issue my technical knowledge is not sufficient
to take it any further, are there any techies here who can make any
suggestions as to how this might be resolved?
