WLM Freezing after signing in, depending on the user that signs in

Hi. I've been using WLM for months and worked ok. Today, I started my PC like
every other day, adn my WLM (latest version) freezes after signing in. I
searched the web and found out that this problem is happening to lots of
people. I did lots of things, even system restores and the regsrv32
commands..and nothing. Still freezes. I switched to MSn 7.5 and it freezed
also!!

So here come the strange thing:

I signed in as a different user (that has 3 contacts) and it WORKED PERFECTLY.
So the next step was signing in with my user on another pc running WLM 8. I
did so, and the WLM on the other PC also freezed. Note that before signing in
the WLM in the other computer was working perfectly.

So. I THINK THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY hotmail USER because it makes
WLM to freeze in every computer I sign on to woth that user.
The number of contacts can be generting this problem??

This may be caused by any one of these problems:
- Your contact list is too big so the loading time is increased and then
Messenger crashes.
- There may actually be something wrong with your user account but that
is unlikely.
- This may all just be a coincidence and that is probably the last thing
that might be happening

Can you please tell me how big your contact list is (if you don't know
the exact number just try to guess) on the account that is not
functioning properly?

I have come across an identical problem on a friend's computer. The contact
list is 15 in number, very much smaller than my own functioning system.
Windows Messenger works fine but not WLM. Any suggestions welcome

Dear ValSpy: First of all, thanxs a lot for your answer.

I've just counted my contacts and i have 31. I have friends with a lot more.
Thats strange.

Perhpas something like Subsribe to cntacts update or something like that??

Dear ValSpy, thanxs a lot for your answer.
I have 31 contacts. Think that is not a big number.

I thought perhaps the option Subscribe to cntact update?? Dunno...
