WLM Hangs after sign in

After a random number of times attempting to sign in after a reboot it will
eventually sign in. Until then, it is a shut down and an error report to MS.

How do I fix this?

XP Med
LM 8.0.812
IE 7.0

I should add that I get a list of my contacts but cannot click or mouse over
anything.

The tabs down the left side do not all load.

An install of the Beta remedies the situation.
