The login box keeps popping up.

I removed the email account and reinstalled - ng.

Your help would be appreciated.

PS: Outlook on the same machine works fine.

Also, if I logon to my carriers website I can access my mail with no
problem.

Spooky, huh?

I'm sure you double-checked everything, but be "triple sure" that your
server designations matches your Outlook setup (for example POP versus
IMAP), along with server name, port numbers, logon authentication, etc. etc.
Verify every setting in WLM. I've inadvertently used a comma (,) where a dot
(.) is expected in a server name or email login.

Be sure that WLM is on online mode (not offline). Check that you have an
internet connection through WLM (can you read newsgroups w/WLM or do you
have access to other email accounts through WLM).

Re-enter (carefully) your login name and password when the login box pops up
(be sure that Caps Lock isn't engaged).

Don't allow Outlook to run in the background while you are troubleshooting
WLM. Your mail server may not accept simultaneous connections.

Thanks for your reply - it gave me the will to play around a little more.

FYI: The issue came up out of the blue.

When it asked for my password, I was putting it in with the first letter
capped. That was how I mistakenly entered it in my passwords folder where I
save all my passwords for different web sites..

After reading your response, I tried again without the capitalization and it
immediately worked.

As to why it screwed up in the first place is another of life's unanswered
mysteries.

Many thanks for your help and interest.
