Good Day,

Is there any mail cap for WLM? From what I know there's a mail cap for yahoo
and gmail.

Thanks.

WLMail doesn't care how many recipients you send to at one time. Your ISP
very well may though.

Caps are set by the mail service provider, not by the mail program.

While WLM doesn't restrict the quantity that can be created....your isp may in fact have a limit..

Windows Live has some restrictions regarding WLM and Hotmail
1. WLM(Terms of Use regarding bulk messages)
2. Hotmail in WLM -- if using DeltaSync http protocol in WLM for sending via a Hotmail account(hotmail, live, and msn.com) then
recipients(number of total) may present some issues. If so, then it would be wise to keep total recipients including the message
itself to 50 or less. New accounts may have lower limits. How and when one's limit is increased has never really been publicly
available.

<qp>
You're prompted to remove recipients before you can send a message
When you try to send an e-mail message to multiple recipients, you may receive an error message that states that you must remove
some recipients before you can send your message. You may also receive this error message if you’ve sent several messages to many
different recipients in the same day.

If you receive this error message, reduce the number of recipients to the number that is indicated in the error message, and then
try to send your message again.

To help reduce the amount of junk e-mail (Unwanted, unsolicited, or illicit e-mail or other electronic messages, including spam.)
sent from Windows Live Hotmail accounts, we limit the number of recipients that you can send a message to at one time. As you
develop a reputation for not sending junk e-mail, we increase the number of recipients that you can send messages to.
</qp>

If you have a long "good" record, is there some way to request an increase in
this number, even for a single group contact list?

thanks,

Sure. Call your ISP. The decision is completely up to them.

Afaik, there is no method to formally request an increase in the # of permissible messages sent for a Hotmail type
account(Hotmail,Live, or Msn.com) through the Hotmail servers.

Nor is there any notification if your limit is increased. If you can send an email to 50 people(initially, new accounts have lower
limits) that would be common with the other quarter of a billion people(or more) using a Hotmail address.
