WLM needs an option for complete destruction of a contact,

I can't delete some contacts from my blocked list. I think i know why,
because they have my liveid in their list. But i dont want to see them
anymore, its annoying to see people that i hate.

I have a solution to this, when someone add me to his contact list,
messenger can ask me if i want to add him to my list (and this is what WLM
does now), if i dont want, messenger can simply ignore him or maybe delete me
from his contact list too(WLM just adds him to my blocked list). I dont want
to see that contact everytime i visit Blocked List. messenger can store this
information on server and deny any addition to contact list, until i want to
add that person's live id to my list manually. when i delete&block a contact,
messenger can delete me from their contact list too, and not ask to add that
contact again.

I hope this idea will help improving future version, thank you.

Greetings,

Yes, this is by design. Until the person removes you from their main contact list, you
cannot remove them from the Blocked or Allow list in the Privacy Options.

The problem with what you're proposing is that there still would be a list, somewhere. Since
users would want control of this list, then you'd be back here asking for it to be removed
from there too.

Thanks for your reply Jonathan,
i understood exactly what you say. i think there has to be another list
named for example "black list", hidden from user and user has no control over
it (so will not ask you remove from that list again). contacts in this list
can be removed when user tries to add that contact manually again. there are
currently three lists avaible, visible contacts, allowed contacts, blocked
contacts. i think a hidden list or a flag can solve that problem. i think
this is essential because many of my friends ask me about this.

Hi,

Well, the actual blocked/allow lists are hidden away in the Options dialog. It's not like
you have to see that one whilst using Messenger normally.

I mean, someone could write up an application to "hide" the list in the Options dialog if
that's what it would take.

Hi,

yes, blocked/allowed lists are hidden, maybe my friends like digging around
too much or maybe not. at least i like playing with software controls. i dont
think there are many users like me. but isn't it annoying to see everytime
you visit that page?

anyway, it would be nice to prevent contactX to add me to his list for
example. Or maybe messenger can delete my liveid from contactX's list. this
would be really nice.

if i could help improving next version i'll be glad. i like coding, if i can
hide that page with a wlmaddin that would be nice. but as you know wlmaddins
run in a sandboxed mode, so it simply cant perform tasks like that, at least
for now. it would be nice if wlmaddins can change wlm ui.

thanks for your time.
