Hi,
I have a mailbox (A) with 3 accounts.

Email "X" is the standard one and email "Y" and "Z" are part of that mailbox
"A"

Logical that all e-mails for X - Y and Z arrives in the inbox of "X"

Sometimes it happen that an e-mail for Z arrives in X & Z.

The setting of all accounts is identical and why is this happing sometimes ?

Regards
Huib

A "mailbox" can only be associated with one account; at least as I
understand "The Way Things Work®". Do you mean you have one email account
with three aliases? I have a few of those.

I have a Yahoo! mailbox with '.pacbell.net', and 2x '.yahoo.com', aliases.

All email to %user@% '.pacbell.net', or '.yahoo.com' come in to the same
mailbox.

Did you set up different accounts, using the different aliases as log ins?
If so, they aren't really "different accounts". They are the same account,
just logging in with different aliases. That would explain the behavior you
are seeing.

> The setting of all accounts is identical and why is this happing sometimes ?

If I set up a WLMail "Account A" using '%' to log in, and I
set up a WLMail "Account B" using '' to log in, each account
actually logs in to the same mailbox, and fetches the email from the same
Yahoo! account.

If I am misunderstanding you, it is because I understand things based on
there only being one "mailbox" per email account, but that there can be
multiple alias email addresses associated with that email account. And I can
log in with any of the aliases, so it looks like the email addresses are
different accounts. But they are not.

Hi,
Sorry, not being clear but with mailbox i was meaning the standard one and
the others are part of it (aliases)
The e-mails Y and Z are indeed aliases from X being the standard.
All mail normally arrives in X what is ok but sometimes a mail for X (even
the standard) arrives in the inbox of Z?

If Y and Z are aliases, on their properties sheet you should deselect
'Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing'. Then *nothing*
should arrive in their inboxes unless you choose them from the 'Sync'
dropdown or use message rules to divert mail from the X inbox.

Hi,
That is indeed a possibility and meanwhile i followed you proposal.
Technically i see no reason why it is performing as just.
I removed the synchronisation on Z and performed a test and at that time an
e-mail came in for Z and it arrived on the alias Y and not on the standard
X.
Strange , strange ... so i will remove the synchronisation on all aliases.
I still wondering if that has to do with the server or with the e-mail
receiver but i have an impression that it is more related with a bug in WLM.
Nevertheless thanks for your advices and so i will also be solved of the
problem where sometimes on my alias Z i am continoulsy receiving messages
and a counter was running for ever...
Regards
Huib
