WLM Steals Focus when New IM Recieved

For some reason, when anyone sends an IM to me via WLM on my machine at
work, it pops-up and steals focus.

This is annoying - especially if I'm in a conversation with someone else.
It interrupts.

Anyone else notice this?

I thought the old behavior was to flash the item in the Start bar. I can
get that behavior by setting my status to "Busy".

Am I overlooking some obvious setting here?

Greetings,

Messenger has no setting for this and it behaves as it always has.

However, there are two exceptions to this. The first is that you may have installed some
sort of Messenger Plus script or some other third-party tool which is doing this for you as a
feature. If this is the case, then you'll need to locate it and disable it.

Secondly, if you or your contact are in the Appear Offline status, then a good percentage of
messages sent will be sent as offline messages, which do steal the focus away.

How can we prevent offline messages to steal focus?
