WLM Stuck Trying to Open New Messages

I'm running Vista Home Premium, SP2 with 2 gigs of Ram. All of a sudden
when I try to sync my WLM I get the following 2 error messages

ERROR MESSAGE #1
Server: pop-server.cfl.rr.com
Windows Live Mail error ID 0X8000ccc19
Protocol: Pop3
port 110
Secure (SSL): No

The system is trying to download an e-mail but it's hanging up. My only
choices are to stop the download, but the next time I try to sync it hangs
again.

ERROR MESSAGE #2
Unable to send or receive messages for the Paul's Live (Hotmail) account. To
send and receive messages in your Hotmail account, go to
http://hotmail.live.com on the Web, or try again later. To get help from
Windows Live Customer Support, go to http://support.live.com and click
Windows Live Mail in the list of services.

Server Error: 0x80072EE7
Server: 'http://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EE7

Sometimes new messages come through and I can read them fine. However,
whenever I try syncing things, that's when WLM hangs. I've tried a reboot,
re-initialing my router, and shutting down WLM but to no avail.
This all started when I was on the net with Firefox and I was being sent a
confirmation e-mail about a site I was accessing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.............Paul C.

Hi, Paul.

There may be a malformed (either intentionally or not) message in your
mailbox that is blocking progress.

Often, this can be fixed by going to the free website:
http://mail2web.com/

Sign in with your POP3 account name and password. Look for a suspicious
message - probably obvious SPAM, but maybe not. Delete that one, then try
again with WLM. This may take several iterations, or you might just delete
all the messages that WLM has already received - plus one more, which will
probably be the bad one.

I've never used Firefox so I don't know if that affects this or not. But it
might be that the confirmation email is the one that you will need to
delete.

If it doesn't work, please post back with details of what results you saw.

Error 0X8000ccc19 is a time-out.
Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails.
Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
