WLMail can't connect to internet with error message of 0x800CCC90

When I'm working under a network that requires an authentication and
password, WLMail client can't connect to internet and update messages. For
IE, if I type the URL of a website, the authentication dialog box will
popup and I enter network account and password, then it works fine surfing
the net, but WLMail will not pop up such dialog box... and it just shows
error message at the lower-right status bar.

Anybody have experience with the same problem and know how to solve this?
