I am having the same issue as the first poster. However, I reset my router,
and there was no difference. Additionally, I know it's not a router issue
because all three of my housemates are running similar computers, and their
windows live messenger works fine. What's very strange is that I sometimes
see multiple copies of msnmsgr.exe in my processes (normally two) and they
take up vastly different amounts of memory (the averages are around 13000 kb
for one and 7000kb for the other). However, right now, the first is taking up
888 kb and the second, 244. There is nothing indicating these programs are
running anywhere else. I have run a full virus scan, spyware scan, checked
for registry crap, et cetera. Nothing. I am now on web messenger, and it is
working.
Help?
