Great! I'm glad to hear it worked even though it's not exactly clear why...
The scenario you described is one that we specifically tested for, but with
the myriad configurations and 3rd party software applications, it's nearly
impossible to find everything. =(
We've seen a few reports of the version not showing up correctly after the
upgrade. Usually a reboot fixes it, but even then we've heard it doesn't in
all cases. It's something we're investigating.
As for the 'online.microsoft.com' addresses... if you just remove the
"online" portion, the address becomes valid. We do it that way so that
automated newsgroup crawlers can't easily add us to spam mailing lists, etc.
